Mental well being is a vital part of a child’s development yet it is an area that has been neglected by the society at large.  The Kings School Learning Support Unit is set up to champion the advancement of the physical and psychologically wellbeing of the Nigerian Child.

  For God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind‘.’

 We are able to achieve this by our yearly school Health Programme which is enacted by the Ministry of Education School Health Policy  2007

Our school health programme consists of the following screenings;

  • Ear

  • Eye

  • Audio & Visual process

  • Developmental

  • Dental

  • Developmental Indicators for Learning

  • Speech & communication

  • Dyslexia literacy difficulty

 All screenings are performed by Certified Specialist and Professionals from Nigeria, the United States and United Kingdom.

 When a child is identified during our school health screening as being at Risk of academic underachievement the opportunity for success is offered by enrolling the child into our Learning Support Programme.

Once enrolled with the learning Support, the child will be placed on a Programmed called Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). This programme is a treatment programme and it provides the necessary strategies a child lagging behind needs.
